CONGREGATIONAL UPDATES & MERGER NEWS
St. John's Church
The elders and deacons of our transitional governing body have agreed to welcome St. John's Romanian church to share our facilities beginning in the next few weeks. St. John's church was previously housed in the former URCC and had a good relationship with them. Our arrangement will be similar to URCC's. Naturally, we can expect a time of adjustment but then we've proven we're masters at that. Our first contract will be for one year. Let us welcome them with open arms.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Classis Service
On Saturday, April 26th at 1pm we will have our ribbon cutting ceremony marking the public launch of Sycamore Community Church with a light repast after.
On Sunday, April 27th, NO 10am service. We will be having an afternoon celebratory service run by the Classis. Time of the service is 4pm with a meal after.
Photo Directory Plans Underway!!
Governing Body member Sharon H is spearheading a new church Photo Directory that will morph into a print version and website directory through a congregation portal. Why? So we can get to know each other better, stay connected and continue to support each other.
What we need from you: #1. Have your picture taken by John #2. Fill out an online form with Andrew via a laptop/iPad.
Picture Dates: Sundays, April 13 & June 1 after worship in the Community Hall
What to Expect: Professional headshots. We would like pictures of ALL congregation members including in-person and online worshippers (we can come to you), Pastor, secretary, sexton, choir members, pianist

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES & WORTHY CAUSES, AMAZING PEOPLE & PRAYERS
Appreciation Notes
We recently received thank you notes in appreciation of our generosity from The Center for Food Action and ONOMA Community Outreach. Let’s keep up the good work for others through Christ Jesus.
A Bequest
It's with heartfelt appreciation that we will be one of the recipients of a bequest from the estate of Melville Van Horn. The Van Horns were part of the Ho-Ho-Kus legacy of Sycamore. Their patriarch kindly remembered us in his will. His is an example of one important way of supporting the life and ministry of the church.
Special Easter Offering
This year we will have an Easter Offerings and the proceeds will support a local charity, “Onomo”. This charity helps homeless Paterson weekly. Please look out for a letter in the mail about this offering. Ways to donate; check, online transfers designated as “Special Easter Offering” or “Onomo”.
